100 Thousand Poets for Change: An evening of Poetry and Music

Venue: Garstang Arts Centre, Saturday 29th September, 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Entry by donation to charity.

Prize-winning poets Carole Coates, Mike Barlow, Jane Routh, Ron Scowcroft and Rachel McGladdery are reading in Garstang to raise funds for Water Aid and Saint John’s Hospice, Lancaster.

Widely published and nationally established, their work can be found in individual collections, in literary magazines and anthologies. Signed copies of their books will be available on the night. They are joined by fellow writers Terry Quinn, Carla Scarano and Martin Domleo. Lancaster’s acoustic folk duo ‘Low Countries’ will be providing the music.

The Garstang event is one of over six hundred readings taking place around the globe on Saturday 29th September.

There will be a raffle of Fair Trade products with a top prize of a restaurant meal for two.

The audience is welcome to bring their own drinks.
